LongView Receives CMMI Level 2 Appraisal
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 23, 2010
NORTH BETHESDA, MD – LongView International Technology Solutions, Inc. (LongView), a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that provides Information Technology solutions for Federal and commercial customers, announced today that it has successfully been appraised as a Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI®) for Development Maturity Level 2 organization. This important achievement comes following the completion of a formal enterprise-wide Standard Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI) Class A appraisal of LongView, the results of which have been accepted, reviewed, and approved by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI).
As stated by the SEI, CMMI is a process improvement approach that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve their performance. CMMI can be used to guide process improvement across a project, a division, or an entire organization. It helps integrate traditionally separate organizational functions, set process improvement goals and priorities, provide guidance for quality processes, and provide a point of reference for appraising current processes.
